Residential & Commercial

Lock enquiries for houses, rentals, shops and offices.

01

The problem

Homes and businesses have different access patterns — a family front door is not the same as a shopfront used by staff every day.

02

When you might need it

  • —New home or change of tenants
  • —Shop or office lock maintenance
  • —Reviewing who holds keys

03

What to tell us

  • —Property type
  • —Number and type of doors
  • —Any timing constraints, such as trading hours

04

What to expect

Tell us about the property and what you want to achieve. We will talk through practical options.

05

Worth knowing

For leased commercial premises, check what your lease allows before changing locks.

More about this service

01

Residential entry and changes of occupancy

For a home, say whether the issue concerns the front entry, a secondary door or more than one lock. Explain whether the door is difficult to secure, difficult to open or operating normally with keys you cannot account for. These distinctions help frame the enquiry without assuming a specific fault.

For a rental, provide your role and confirm who can authorise the requested work. A property manager may need information about the affected hardware and the access arrangement for attending the property. Do not share tenants’ private information beyond what is necessary to discuss the job.

02

Shop and office access arrangements

Commercial enquiries should identify the staff entry, customer entry or other affected point. Mention trading hours, shared building access and any existing arrangement managed by a landlord or building manager. The same-looking cylinder can be part of a wider access arrangement that must be considered before a change.

Ask whether the requested work is suitable for the premises and what information is needed to determine the next step. This site does not advertise every commercial locking system, access-control product or specialist service. Describe the actual requirement and confirm it directly rather than assuming coverage from a category label.

Stuck at the door? Let's talk it through.
